In this course, we were asked to choose a topic and make it accessible to children. I chose the topic of fear, which is very close to my heart because fear is something I’ve been dealing with for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been curious to understand how it works behind the scenes and, in a way, confront it. Given the challenging and frightening times we are in, choosing fear felt like a natural decision.

 

So, how do you explain fear to children during such a difficult and overwhelming period? I decided to approach it from a logical, rational, and even humorous perspective. In my imagination, when a child looks at the illustrations, they won’t be scared of fear but will instead understand where it comes from and why it happens to them. This way, they can learn to manage it better.
